When it comes to composition i like both the old and the new version, but it feels Danny had either more experience editing audio or had a better idea about the technical aspect of music He had pretty clear music, it didn't feel loud, and when the music was shorter it was less repetitive per loop. This is honestly things you couldn't say about Danny work. and give a twist to the themes, they feel too short, the average time on a level is 2 to 5 minutes, and the music feels like every loop last 1 minute because it's too repetitive.
And it is me? or the loops are too short? I don't hate this music, but this same compositions could be done way better, mostly by fixing the volume saturation. But i think this OST is too saturated with how loud and uniform the music is. You can put the music of this game in any stage of any game and it would still fit well, Because this music for me speaks about the stage you are in, but not about isaac.Īlso the lack of change of pacing in it numbs my ears. It talked both about the stage and isaac mind. That's why the music changes paces often from a more subdued tone to a tense one. I think OG isaac OST said a lot more about Isaac, The deal with the original soundtrack is that it kinda mixed the stage feeling with ISaac going trough it.
